We took a look at some of the most valued overseas players. Here are 5 of the foreign talents that were set to attract large bids in the 14th edition of the India cricket auction.

Kyle Jamieson

The 26-year-old New Zealander has wowed many in international cricket circles with his consistency. After making his international debut last year and having played in just six Tests, Jamieson has 36 wickets, averaging an impressive 13.27. The Auckland Aces seamer may just be a favourite for several franchises in the 2021 IPL Auction.

Glenn Maxwell

Despite a poor 2020 season for Kings XI Punjab, the Aussie all-rounder is still a key international player. After stellar performances in the T20I and ODI series following IPL 2020, many franchises are looking for a player as consistent as Maxwell. Whether it’s his explosive batting or excellent fielding, the Australian never fails to attract interest at the IPL Auction.

Shakib Al Hasan

Following a year ICC ban, the Bangladeshi star is back on the field. With impressive performances and a long history playing in IPL Cricket, Al Hasan may spark a bidding battle in the 2021 auction. Since making his IPL debut in 2011, the all-rounder has grown to become the biggest name in Bangladeshi cricket.

Chris Morris

Considered the IPL’s biggest South African beneficiary, various franchises have their eye on Morris. A vital cog in Royal Challengers Bangalore, the international cricketer was one of the IPL 2020’s top buys. His illustrious career has seen him play key overseas roles with Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals.

Dawid Malan

Currently ranked the top T20I batsman in the world, the English cricketer could be a lucrative pick for franchises this year. In only 19 innings, Malan has scored 855 runs with a strike rate of 150. Ahead of this year’s auction, Malan has attracted major interest and has been the talking point of many franchises.
