The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the schedule for the upcoming edition of the Vivo Indian Premier League 2021 season 14. The opening matches of this spectacular cricket extravaganza will take place on April 9th, 2021, in Chennai, between defending champions Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The World’s Largest Cricket Stadium – Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will not only host the IPL for the first time but also set the scene for the finals.
Returning to India after 2 years, IPL has set the stage for major cricket excitement. All 56 league matches will be played on neutral fields with no match on home turf. Each team plays at four venues during the league stage and of the 56 league matches, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru will host 10 matches each while Ahmedabad and Delhi will host 8 matches each.
The most important question that is on everyone’s minds is whether they will allow spectators to watch the matches live at the stadium?
